One of the birthplaces of Brazilian mountaineering and perhaps the most iconic mountain in the country. Located in the Serra dos Órgãos in the city of Teresópolis-RJ, it impresses those who pass by and awakens the dream of any climber to reach its summit. A tiring but unforgettable adventure amidst aerial stretches, holds, grips and chimneys. The ascent route is via the East Face with a variant via Maria Cebola, one of the 50 classic routes in Brazil.
DAY 0: Pre-expedition
Meeting at a partner hotel in Teresópolis-RJ (for those who book this optional option) for an overnight stay in bed. Meals not included.
DAY 1: Climbing Day
We will wake up at 4:00 am to have breakfast and head towards the parking lot of the Paraíso da Serra restaurant and start the approach trail. It will be a 1-hour steep trail until the start of the famous steel cables, where we will use safety equipment and ropes. From this point to the base of the route the estimated time is 2 hours. Breakfast is included in the stay (optional).
